Senior Companion & Personal Assistant

Blossom Hill / Almaden Area, San Jose, CA

Seeking a reliable, compassionate, and proactive person to assist our mother, who lives in an assisted living community.

She is mentally sharp but has some memory and mobility challenges. We are looking for someone who can help coordinate medical appointments, accompany her to appointments and outings, provide updates to family members, help keep her schedule organized, and encourage her to stay active and engaged. We are hoping to motivate her to be more active with activities she enjoys, like visiting the beach and being in nature.

Hours: 8–16 hours per week (8 guaranteed), flexible weekday schedule

Pay: $35–$50/hour depending on background, plus mileage reimbursement (excluding commute). Paid through a household payroll service.

Ideal backgrounds: Nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, care management, patient advocacy, executive assistance, senior companionship, or similar experience supporting older adults.

• Live reasonably close to the Blossom Hill / Almaden area
• Reliable vehicle that can transport a folded wheelchair
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to provide light mobility assistance, including loading and unloading a folded wheelchair
• Excellent references and communication skills
