General Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Lead daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, kitchen management, and customer service to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Oversee staff training, development, and supervision to foster a motivated and efficient team aligned with company standards.
• Manage inventory control, food safety protocols, and food handling procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking.
• Conduct shift management, including scheduling staff, overseeing food production, and ensuring timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor financial performance through profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and cost control measures to maximize profitability.
• Implement food safety management practices and ensure adherence to all sanitation standards across the restaurant.
• Facilitate team training sessions on culinary techniques, customer service excellence, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate catering events or banquet services when applicable to expand revenue streams.
• Maintain excellent customer relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with a strong background in food industry operations.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management including supervising food production and culinary processes.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling and financial reconciliation is essential.
• Demonstrated ability in inventory control, food safety management, and adhering to health regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing hospitality teams, supervising staff training, interviewing candidates, and team development.
• Excellent communication skills suited for managerial communication with staff and customers alike.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for budgeting, cost analysis, and cash handling tasks.
• Experience in managing hospitality teams within hotel or bar environments is a plus; catering or banquet experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling practices across various restaurant formats including casual dining or fine dining experiences.
