Accounting Assistant / Accounts Payable Specialist

Full-Time | Kansas City, MO | Office-Based | Non-Exempt | $21.20/hour + Full Benefits

CDD is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant / Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. What You'll Do

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and on time.
• Maintain vendor records and reconcile statements.
• Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Prepare and process check runs and electronic payments.
• Support the accounting team with data entry, filing, and general finance functions.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with organizational policies.

What You Bring

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Experience with accounting software systems.
• Nonprofit accounting experience.

• Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
• Work Setting: Office-based, Kansas City, MO
• Travel: Minimal
