General Manager — New Restaurant Opening

V Modern Italian is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our newest location opening in Kansas City this fall.

As V Modern Italian continues expanding across the United States, this is an opportunity to lead a high-profile new restaurant opening and help establish the operational standards, culture, and leadership foundation for one of the brand’s newest markets.

The General Manager will be responsible for building the opening team, preparing the restaurant for launch, and leading all aspects of daily operations following opening. We are looking for a hands-on, people-first leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads from the floor, and is passionate about developing strong teams and delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key ResponsibilitiesNew Restaurant Opening

Partner with company leadership to prepare the Kansas City restaurant for a successful opening, including management development, hourly hiring, training, operational readiness, systems implementation, and execution of all opening standards.

Operations Leadership

Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations while ensuring excellence in hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, organization, execution, and overall operational efficiency.

Team Development

Recruit, hire, train, and develop a strong leadership and hourly team. Create a culture rooted in accountability, communication, coaching, and continuous improvement while identifying and developing future leaders from within the organization.

Financial Performance

Drive sales, profitability, and operational performance through disciplined financial management, including labor planning, scheduling, food and beverage costs, inventory controls, purchasing, and controllable expenses.

Guest Experience

Lead a hospitality-first culture that consistently delivers exceptional guest experiences. Build long-term guest loyalty through attention to detail, service excellence, effective recovery, and a strong leadership presence throughout the restaurant.

Brand Standards and Scalability

Execute and uphold company systems, operational procedures, and brand standards while providing feedback and helping refine processes that will support future company growth and expansion.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of successful restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment
• General Manager or senior restaurant leadership experience strongly preferred
• Proven success recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including labor management, food and beverage costs, inventory controls, budgeting, and P&L accountability
• Excellent communication, organization, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to lead effectively under pressure while maintaining hospitality and operational excellence
• Experience establishing systems, developing leaders, and building a strong workplace culture
• New restaurant opening or scaling-brand experience preferred
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during the opening period as needed

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
