This position supports the Indiana Department of Transportation's Real Estate Division by coordinating purchase orders, verifying project readiness, assigning parcels to consultants, and ensuring accurate information across all statewide project management and record‑keeping systems.
The role prepares and distributes Notice‑to‑Proceed documents, reviews consultant invoices for accuracy, and manages all communication and mailings to property owners involved in transportation projects. It organizes project files, tracks consultant progress, and ensures that all documentation is complete, compliant, and properly stored.
By supporting project managers, consultants, and district staff, this position helps keep real estate activities moving on schedule and plays a vital role in delivering transportation projects efficiently and responsibly.
This position is with INDOT’s Central Office in Indianapolis.
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
