Job Description

We are looking for a senior mobile engineer to design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. To be successful in this role, you must be able to drive the software change and release management processes, assisting in the overall maturity of the software development lifecycle.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

Work as part of a small AGILE team to build React Native iOS / Android applications

Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code.

Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience

Integrate third-party API's

Write unit and integration tests

Release applications to the Apple and Google Play stores.

Work with native modules when required

Collaborate with other team members such as developers, project managers, QA professionals, and designers

Assist with building estimates

Anticipate possible failures/errors and implement new solutions to make users interface easier and simpler

Conduct quality control checks throughout the development lifecycle.

Participate in strategy meetings

Implement pixel perfect UI's that match design

Qualifications

7+ years of relevant, professional experience in web and API development

Experience/education developing software, web applications using #, .NET Framework, JavaScript, React, SQL, HTML, and CSS in a SaaS environment

Extensive use of APIs and understanding of and REST architecture

Knowledgeable with version control (Azure DevOps/Git)

Experience with MVC architecture pattern

Experience with databases (SQL Server)

Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (Azure) a plus

Strong experience working in agile environments including utilizing SCRUM, TDD, TFD, CI, CD, etc.

Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Experience working in an Agile development environment

Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently

Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Experience building applications in the healthcare space

Experience/familiarity with test automation frameworks

DevOps experience

Familiarity with modern tools including Slack, Azure DevOps, Lucid, etc

Deliver technically complex solutions. Perform system integration support for all project work. Consult and partner with the business product owners to understand the end goal and offer solutions and recommendations during the design.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience

In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices

Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function

Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices

Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

3-7 years experience in mobile development

• 3+ years experience with Javascript

1+ years experience with React.js or React Native

• Experience with animation and rich graphical interfaces

Preference for experience in native development for Android (DW note: team already has some native iOS experience)

• Good attitude / team player - assumes positive intent in technical and non-technical teammates and avoids intellectual vanity

Cares about end user - deeply understands the importance of good user experience over an envisioned perfect system model

• High ownership of user experience - thinks critically while discussing spec & building, ideates on improvements, and self-tests code before others test
