As Senior Legal Counsel – Employment, you provide strategic employment-law guidance to the People team, leadership, and business units across the UK and Continental Europe. You balance legal risk with business objectives while delivering practical, people-centered solutions that protect Computershare’s reputation and culture.

You will influence senior stakeholders, draft and review contracts and policies, and lead compliance, training, and disputes matters. This is a role at the intersection of law and business, offering impactful work across borders and a flexible, collaborative culture.

• Provide strategic, risk-based employment law advice across a broad range of matters
• Draft, review and maintain employment contracts, policies and related documentation
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and governance requirements
• Deliver employment law training and educate stakeholders
• Represent the company in employment-related proceedings and manage external counsel
• Review commercial agreements and employee benefits for employment law compliance
• Monitor legislative developments and implement mitigation strategies
• Oversee legal aspects of DSARs, whistleblowing, employee investigations and workplace disputes
• Collaborate with legal, People and business teams to deliver effective, commercially focused outcomes
• Manage the company’s whistleblower function for the UK and Continental Europe

Tasks

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
• Experience supporting cross-border employment matters, particularly in Europe (advantageous)
• Collaborative and trusted partner with sound judgement, integrity and discretion
• Knowledge of investigations, disputes, outsourcing and employment-related commercial contracts (UK)
• Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Degree in Law and UK practicing certificate (essential)
• Additional European language skills (advantageous)
