Senior Legal Counsel - Consumer business

We are partnering with a global consumer-led organisation to appoint a commercially minded, internationally experienced Senior Legal Counsel who will play a key role in reshaping the global legal function.

Reporting to the General Counsel, this individual will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, offering practical, business-aligned legal guidance that supports growth and ensures compliance across worldwide operations.

This role provides the chance to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment where legal expertise, commercial judgement and strong stakeholder management directly influence business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality legal advice on commercial, regulatory and compliance issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support the legal function’s transformation by helping enhance systems, processes and digital tools.
• Collaborate closely with leadership and key business teams (operations, supply chain, sales, marketing) to enable strategic plans and manage risk.
• Advise on complex commercial agreements, regulatory matters and major projects/transactions.
• Oversee governance and compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Identify potential legal and compliance risks and offer practical, business-focused solutions.
• Build strong relationships with regulators, external counsel and industry partners.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified lawyer with 8–15 years’ PQE from a leading law firm.
• In-house experience within a consumer-focused organisation is essential.
• Proven expertise across commercial, regulatory and compliance work.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance legal risk with business needs.
• Experience handling cross-border matters and working internationally.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions-driven, with a passion for supporting business growth.
• Experience with legal or organisational transformation projects is beneficial.
