Audit Manager - Liverpool

They’re now looking to bring on an experienced Audit Manager to oversee audit engagements and lead teams from planning to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s already qualified, enjoys managing client relationships, and is ready to play a key role in team development and project delivery.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading and managing audit assignments with responsibility for timelines, quality, and client communication
• Acting as the primary contact for clients, handling queries and maintaining trust
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing work, and providing feedback
• Monitoring budgets and billing, ensuring jobs are delivered efficiently
• Maintaining technical compliance with FRS, IFRS, and auditing standards
• Liaising with directors and senior managers to support strategic and departmental goals
• Supporting a positive, collaborative culture and helping resolve team issues as needed

Who They’re Looking For

• ACCA/ACA qualified (or equivalent) with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience
• Strong track record in audit and accounts, ideally within a UK practice setting
• Confident managing client relationships and audit teams
• Knowledge of key accounting standards (FRS/IFRS) and risk control frameworks
• Great communication, time management, and organisational skills
• Comfortable using (or learning) tools like CaseWare and CCH
• Someone who’s proactive, accountable, and collaborative
