Role: Data Migration Engineer

Rate: Up to $130,000 per year

Location: Remote, Canada based

Structure: Full time

Must-Have Skills

• 3–5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Data Migration, or Data Integration
• Strong understanding of end-to-end ETL methodologies (Extract Transform Load)
• Advanced SQL skills for querying, profiling, validating, and troubleshooting datasets
• Experience working with APIs, relational databases, flat files, and large datasets

Strong understanding of

• Data mapping
• Data transformation
• Data validation
• Data reconciliation
• Data cleansing
• Schema mapping
• Comfortable debugging unfamiliar source systems and identifying data quality issues
• Experience building repeatable, reusable migration processes rather than one-off scripts
• Comfortable working independently in fast-paced startup environments

Ideal Skills Required

• Python

• JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)

• JSON

• Version control (Git)

• Automation-first mindset

• Experience building reusable ETL pipelines

• Familiarity with telecom, OSS/BSS, CRM, or billing data models

• Experience supporting production cutovers, delta loads, rollback strategies, and reconciliation

• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate data exploration and validation
