Lawyer – Labour and Employment Law

Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a lawyer with 3 to 5 years of experience in Labour and Employment Law to join a highly regarded team recognized for its expertise and the quality of its work.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the firm’s Corporate and Commercial group on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, advising a sophisticated and diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Participate in labour and employment due diligence in the context of corporate transactions
• Review and analyze employment agreements, service agreements, restrictive covenants, and executive compensation plans
• Advise clients on workplace policies, collective agreements, and a broad range of labour and employment matters
• Work alongside the Corporate group on share and asset acquisitions, as well as other complex commercial transactions
• Provide strategic legal advice to national and international clients

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Labour and Employment Law, ideally gained in private practice
• Strong analytical, drafting, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on complex transactional matters
• Commitment to excellence and a client-focused approach
• Bilingual in French and English, with the ability to advise a national and international client base
