Equity Research Associate – FIG / Financial InstitutionsSector Focus: Financial Institutions / FIGGeographic Focus: CEEMEA, with a secondary focus on GCCAn established Equity Research team is looking to hire an Associate to join its FIG / Financial Institutions coverage team, based full-time in Oman.

The team has a strong focus on CEEMEA, with the GCC representing a secondary area of focus. The role will provide exposure to a broad range of financial institutions across emerging and developed markets, with significant responsibility for research, financial modelling, company analysis and client engagement.

This is a highly client-facing opportunity, with regular interaction with institutional investors and significant travel expected as part of the role.

CoverageThe team currently covers a broad range of Financial Institutions, including:

• Banks
• Insurance companies
• Asset managers
• Fintech
• Omani banks, representing a key area of current coverage
• Turkey / GCATCIS markets, including Georgia and Kazakhstan
• GCCAsia
• The team is also interested in expanding its research coverage across markets including:
• Poland, particularly within broader CEEMEA coverage
• Greece, with a particular interest in Greek banks
• India, which is becoming an increasingly attractive market
• Candidates without direct CIS or Emerging Markets experience will also be considered where they have highly relevant sector expertise, including experience covering US Fintech, European Banks or broader FIG.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental equity research across Financial Institutions and FIG.Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks.
• Analyse company financial statements, earnings and business performance.
• Produce high-quality investment research, including company notes, earnings updates and thematic research.
• Monitor market developments, corporate actions, regulatory changes and macroeconomic trends.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior company management and industry contacts.
• Present investment views and research findings to institutional clients.
• Support senior members of the team with client meetings, roadshows and investor engagement.
• Travel regularly across the relevant CEEMEA, GCC and other coverage markets.
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the team's research franchise.
• The successful candidate will ideally have 3-5 years of relevant experience within Equity Research, Investment Banking, Asset Management or a closely related analytical role.
