Industry: Freight Forwarding

Location: Montreal

Specializing in the Freight Forwarding industry with over 30 years in the industry, currently expanding the Logistics department and seeking a specialist to handle Pricing and Quotations for Logistics requests. Working in coordination with the sales and operations team for imports and exports.

Seeking a talent individual with experience dealing with negotiations with agents and carriers for all modes of transport (ocean, air, ground, etc). If you have experience with quotes, pricing or logistics, we want to hear from you!!

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the Logistics department with a variety of tasks that include (but not limited to):

• Process quotation requests from various sources
• Evaluate and pursue new customer and contract
• Set profit margins on various files, according to financial objectives.
• Negotiate rates with agents and carriers (ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies)
• Select the most competitive rates and prepare quotations using Freightos software
• Follow-up on tight deadlines with customers
• Transfer customer files with operations once quotes have been accepted

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certifications in related Logistics / Transport programs
• 3 year of similar experience in Logistics pricing/quotes is preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
