Night Sous Chef

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will oversee kitchen operations during evening hours, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and leading the kitchen staff with professionalism.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff during night shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
• Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating of menu items to meet presentation and taste expectations.
• Manage food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Oversee food safety practices, including proper storage, temperature control, and cleanliness.
• Support restaurant management in maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
• Train and mentor team members to uphold service standards and improve culinary skills.
• Ensure timely service by managing kitchen operations smoothly during evening hours.
• Serve as a leader in the absence of the Executive Chef or Restaurant Manager, handling any operational issues that arise.

Skills

• Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
• Extensive food service experience with a focus on hospitality standards.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve as an effective leader and team player.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry is highly desirable.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
