The Assistant Learning & Development Manager supports the implementation of the hotel's learning and development strategy by coordinating, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee performance, service excellence, and career development. The role plays a key part in building a culture of continuous learning while ensuring compliance with Minor Hotels and Tivoli brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning & Development
- Assist in the implementation of the annual Learning & Development strategy and training calendar.
- Coordinate all mandatory and operational training programs.
- Deliver induction and orientation programs for all new team members.
- Facilitate brand culture, service excellence, and guest experience training.
- Support departmental trainers in planning and delivering monthly training sessions.
- Assist in developing leadership and supervisory development programs.
- Coordinate cross-exposure and cross-training initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning throughout the hotel.
- Training Administration
- Maintain accurate employee training records and training matrices.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure completion of all online learning modules.
- Prepare weekly and monthly training reports and KPI dashboards.
- Monitor training attendance and certification validity.
- Ensure all mandatory compliance training is completed within required timelines.
- Performance & Talent Development
- Support the preparation and execution of Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Assist department heads in identifying training needs through Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
- Participate in succession planning and talent development initiatives.
- Coach supervisors and departmental trainers on effective learning techniques.

- Ensure compliance with Minor Hotels policies and local legislation.
- Support quality assurance and brand audits by maintaining complete training documentation.

- Support employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
- Organize learning campaigns, workshops, and awareness events.
- Promote Minor Hotels' culture, values, and service philosophy.
- Participate in CSR, wellness, and colleague appreciation initiatives.
- Communication
- Work closely with department heads to identify operational training priorities.
- Liaise with external training providers when required.
- Support the Learning & Development Manager in preparing presentations and training materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a luxury hotel.
- Previous experience with Minor Hotels or an international hospitality brand is an advantage.
Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is an added advantage.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
