You’ll move fluidly between standout visual design and thoughtful product design, creating marketing assets one day, then mapping flows, prototyping, and refining interfaces the next. About the Role

As a Product & Visual Designer, you will create visually magnetic, highly functional design work across a wide spectrum of projects. One day, you’ll be shaping a high-impact marketing campaign; the next, you’ll be designing user flows, prototypes, and interfaces for digital products used by organizations shaping Canada’s future.

You are fluent across tools and mediums, grounded in UX principles, and energized by tight deadlines and big ideas. You care deeply about craft. You test your own work before anyone else sees it, and you speak the language of research and evidence.

What You'll Do

• Lead the creation of visually compelling design assets for campaigns, websites, digital products, and brand initiatives.
• Produce high-fidelity UX/UI deliverables including wireframes, user flows, and clickable prototypes.
• Translate research insights into intuitive, accessible, human-centered designs.
• Collaborate closely with product teams, researchers, strategists, and clients to bring ideas from concept to polished execution.
• Deliver exceptional work under time-sensitive conditions, balancing speed with quality.
• Present design decisions with clarity and confidence in written, spoken, and visual formats.
• Uphold accessibility, usability, and design systems standards across all outputs.

What You Bring

• Expert-level visual design abilities with a strong UX foundation.
• Mastery of digital design tools including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, and emerging tools.
• A natural ability to balance beauty, clarity, and functionality in every piece of work.
• Experience validating design through testing, iteration, and user-centered critique.
• Exceptional communication skills across written, verbal, and presentation settings.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• A genuine love of design and a commitment to building products and visuals that make a meaningful impact.
• Post-secondary education in visual arts, UX, product design, or a related field is considered a strong asset.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit).
• Nice-to-have: active Government of Canada security clearance.

Location: Ottawa (preferred) or remote

Type: Full-time, Hybrid (minimum 2 days/week in office)
