About the Role

Monolith Bison is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead sales growth throughout Western Canada.

This position is responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategies, expanding our distributor network, increasing market share, and delivering sustained revenue growth across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

The successful candidate combines strategic thinking with a hands-on sales approach, building strong relationships with distributors, industrial customers, and key decision-makers throughout the territory.

This role is ideal for a driven sales professional who thrives on business development, enjoys solving customer challenges, and is passionate about building long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual sales strategy for Western Canada.
• Drive aggressive year-over-year sales growth while achieving and exceeding territory objectives.
• Identify, develop, and manage strategic distributor partnerships.
• Prospect, qualify, and convert new accounts.
• Expand business within existing accounts through consultative and value-based selling.
• Deliver technical product presentations, demonstrations, and welding application support.
• Collaborate with distributors to develop joint business plans and sales initiatives.
• Negotiate pricing agreements and successfully close new business opportunities.
• Prepare quotations, forecasts, and annual territory plans.
• Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and customer activity within the CRM system.
• Analyze market trends, competitive activity, pricing, and customer requirements.
• Represent MONOLITH at trade shows, customer events, and industry exhibitions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and on-time delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of industrial B2B sales experience, preferably in wholesale or distribution.
• Experience in the welding, industrial distribution, fabrication, manufacturing, or metalworking industries is an asset.
• Strong business development and consultative selling skills.
• Experience managing distributor networks and channel partners.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand welding processes and consumables.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel extensively throughout Western Canada.

Physical Job Requirements

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
