We’re seeking to hire a permanent, full-time Legal Counsel to join our mid-sized Legal team working out of EPCOR Tower in Edmonton, AB.
The corporate-commercial side of our team is well resourced and we’re looking for a strong Legal Counsel to work in and support other areas, including litigation, regulatory/compliance, and privacy. We know it’s rare for a person to have experience in all of these areas, but have had great experience with growing and developing Lawyers with a strong litigation or advocacy background.
This Legal Counsel position is an excellent opportunity to work and gain experience in a number of related areas, providing important strategic and operational legal advice to, and supporting Senior Counsel, advising EPCOR’s Canadian regulated and commercial businesses.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to learn, with an interest in developing a varied in-house practice to support EPCOR's business needs, with the potential over the medium to longer term to grow into a more specialized role.
The role operates as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, while helping to advance business objectives within a complex, regulated as well as a commercial environment.
