General Adjuster

The successful candidate is an experienced all-lines adjuster who is committed to providing exceptional customer service. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Reporting to the Alberta & Saskatchewan Regional Manager
• Attending or investigating claims on behalf of our principals to: assess damages, create scopes of repair, interview claimants and witnesses and create scene diagrams
• Reviewing policy wordings to determine coverage
• Communicating findings of investigations in a detailed report format
• Reviewing professional reports related to the claim; such as, engineering, accounting, legal or building consultant
• Authorizing or denying coverage based on findings and instructions received from our principals
• Negotiating settlements with insureds and/or claimants based on instructions received from our principals
• Ensuring that claims are processed in accordance with statutory requirements
• Investigating suspicious claims

The ideal candidate will have

• 3-5 years of adjusting experience (Road/Field)
• Have experience in handling property/and or casualty claims
• Must have insurance Adjuster Level 1 or 2 License
• CIP Designation, or working towards CIP Designation
• Knowledge of XactAnalysis / Xactimate
• Outstanding mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and OneNote
• Experience and ability to navigate a claims management system
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
• The ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
