Senior Social Media Executive / Social Media Manager

Specializing in fashion, beauty, luxury and lifestyle industries, the Agency is currently looking for suitable, dynamic candidates with varying experience to join the MALAYSIAN team in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of all social media channels (e.g. IG, FB, TikTok, LinkedIn).
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, creative teams, and clients to ensure timely approvals.
• Develop and execute data-driven social media strategies to increase brand visibility, engagement, and follower growth.
• Plan always-on content and campaign calendars aligned with brand objectives, ensuring brand consistency across tone of voice, visual aesthetic, and messaging.
• Conceptualise, write, and oversee the production of high-quality social content.
• Research cultural and platform trends to ideate fresh, relevant storytelling.
• Monitor conversations and engage with followers to build a strong, active community.
• Respond to comments, messages, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Lead creation of social-led campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.
• Manage influencer and creator collaborations from sourcing to negotiation and post-analysis.
• Stay updated on new platform features, trending formats, algorithm changes, and industry benchmarks.

Job Pre-Requisites

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Mass Media, Advertising, or related fields with relevant experience.
• Must have minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing social media platforms for brands, agencies, or consumer-facing businesses.
• Should demonstrate a proven track record of planning and executing social media campaigns that deliver measurable results.
• Experience in developing content calendars, managing always-on content, and supporting campaign launches across multiple platforms.
• Must be comfortable handling key social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, with experience on YouTube, Threads, or X considered an advantage.
• Experience in interpreting social insights and analytics to improve content performance and inform strategy.
• Past experience collaborating with designers, videographers, or copywriters to produce social-ready assets is highly preferred.
• Familiarity working with influencers or content creators for branded collaborations is an added bonus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM3,800.00 per month
