EJWL — Housekeeping Runner

As a Housekeeping Runner, you will transport linen carts with clean laundry from the laundry room to storage rooms on each floor of the property and replenish linens in the linen rooms based on the amounts noted on the linen distribution form.

At the end of your shift you will return the cart to its designated area, and you will clean and organize items stored in the laundry room, supply and storage closets, linen rooms, and the uniform room. You will also identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.

You are expected to follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries and completing required safety training and certifications. Keep your uniform and personal appearance clean and professional, and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.

Greet and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak clearly and professionally with others, develop and maintain positive working relationships, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of your colleagues. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical and task-related expectations include

• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to push and pull work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
