HDR is growing our commissioning capability in Malaysia and is seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers and Commissioning Project Managers who are interested in future opportunities within our Building Engineering Services team.

As we continue to expand our presence in Mission Critical and Data Centre projects, we are keen to hear from talented commissioning professionals who are interested in joining a global, employee-owned professional services firm, supporting technically complex, high-performance projects across the region.

We are particularly keen to hear from professionals with experience in the following areas:

• Electrical Commissioning Engineers
• Mechanical Commissioning Engineers
• Commissioning Project Managers

Our Opportunities

Successful candidates will support commissioning activities across a range of sectors, with a strong focus on Mission Critical Data Centre projects. Working as part of HDR's Building Engineering Services team, you will contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of commissioning outcomes that help clients achieve safe, reliable and high-performing facilities.

Depending on the opportunity, responsibilities may include

• Supporting and managing commissioning processes across project lifecycles
• Reviewing project schedules, technical documentation, drawings and specifications
• Developing commissioning plans, scripts, schedules, reports and checklists
• Conducting equipment inspections, Factory Witness Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests
• Collaborating with clients, contractors and project teams to achieve commissioning objectives
• Managing commissioning records, reporting and project close-out documentation
• Providing technical advice relating to project and operational risks
• Supporting the review and development of commissioning documentation and technical reports

What You Will Bring

We are looking to connect with professionals who have a strong technical foundation, a collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes. Relevant experience and qualifications may include:

• Demonstrated experience in commissioning, facilities engineering or a related field
• Experience within the Mission Critical (Data Centre) and/or Healthcare sectors is highly regarded
• Experience conducting equipment inspections, Factory Witness Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
• A proactive and organised approach, with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
• Alignment with HDR's values and employee-owned culture
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
