Senior Medical Lab Technologist

Job Purpose

Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) is responsible for the 24 hours operation of the Laboratory Department of Assunta Hospital. Ensure that the requested laboratory test is carried out and the results reported in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, or closely related fields such as Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedicine, Microbiology etc.

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or closely related field will be an added advantage.

Experience

New MLT will undergo internal competency training programme.

Minimum 2 years experience or above in clinical laboratory set-up will be an added advantage.

Working Conditions

MLT is required to work shift duties, according to laboratory duty roster scheduled by the Laboratory Manager. This includes night duties during working days, Sundays and Public Holidays and day duties during Sundays and Public Holidays.

Work is performed in a laboratory environment, personal protective equipment (PPE) such as lab coats, gloves, goggles and etc. must be worn when performing tasks which required these. MLT may be subject to some lifting and exposure to chemicals, biological samples and fumes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,200.00 – RM3,500.00 per month
