BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER — AUSTRALIAN HEALTHCARE MARKET

Location: Hyde Park, Johannesburg (office-based)

Hours: Night shift, aligned to Australian business hours (approx. 12:30am – 9:00am SAST; shifts adjust with Australian daylight saving)

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Package: R30,000 – R35,000 per month CTC (inclusive of night shift allowance) + performance commission

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a long-established Australian market leader in patient treatment funding. For over a decade, they have helped everyday Australians fund essential medical treatment — dental, fertility, weight loss surgery, mental health care, orthopaedics and more — through a fully compliant, government-regulated funding pathway.

They partner with thousands of medical and dental clinics across Australia, giving practices a trusted way to help patients proceed with treatment they would otherwise delay or decline.

Your job is to grow that clinic network — and make the clinics already in it more active.

THE ROLE

This is a true hybrid sales role: half hunter, half farmer.

New business (approx. 50%)

Prospect and cold-call medical, dental and specialist clinics across Australia (practice owners, practice managers, treatment coordinators) to introduce the client's patient funding pathway
Build and manage a structured outbound pipeline in Salesforce from first touch to activated referral partner
Run remote presentations and onboarding sessions that get new clinics referring their first patient quickly

Account management (approx. 50%)

Own a book of active referring clinics and grow referral volume month on month
Run regular check-ins and reviews with practice managers; train front-desk and treatment coordination staff on when and how to refer patients
Identify dormant or declining accounts and re-activate them
Act as the clinic's trusted point of contact — responsive, credible, and genuinely useful

Reporting & discipline

Maintain immaculate Salesforce hygiene: every call, contact, opportunity and account note logged
Report weekly on activity, pipeline, activations and referral volume against target

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

3–5+ years in B2B sales, business development or account management, ideally phone-based / remote selling
A CV that shows stability — we are building a long-term team and will prioritise candidates with solid tenure in previous roles over job-hoppers
Hands-on Salesforce experience (non-negotiable)
A confident, polished phone manner — you'll be selling to Australian healthcare professionals, so clear spoken English and professional credibility are essential
Comfortable with, and genuinely committed to, permanent night shift — this is not a temporary arrangement
Able to work from our Hyde Park, Johannesburg office (this is not a remote role)
Healthcare, dental, medical devices or financial services sales experience is a strong advantage
Self-managing, target-driven, and resilient — you'll be working while your client base sleeps in a different hemisphere

WHAT'S ON OFFER
