Introduction
The Key Accounts Executive is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic relationships with key financial intermediaries, broker groups, independent financial advisers, corporate partners, estate agencies, and other strategic distribution channels.
The role is accountable for driving sustainable business growth, increasing market share, strengthening the organisation's market presence, and positioning the organisation as the preferred provider of its products and services.
Success in this role is measured through strategic relationship management, new business acquisition, client retention, revenue growth, market penetration, and long-term partnership development. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, delivering commercial value while identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships and establish new strategic partnerships.
The successful incumbent will leverage an established professional network within the financial services and property sectors to identify strategic opportunities, strengthen partnerships, increase referrals, and expand the organisation's market presence through meaningful stakeholder engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to organisational growth objectives.
- Identify, pursue, negotiate, and secure new strategic business opportunities.

Sales Leadership & Commercial Performance
- Deliver against monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and business development objectives.

Reporting & Commercial Insights
- Maintain accurate CRM and key account management records.
- Record client visits, meetings, opportunities, pipeline activity, and business outcomes.
- Analyse competitor activity, market intelligence, and industry developments.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly executive reports.
- Provide strategic recommendations and commercial insights to senior management.
- Monitor client engagement, pipeline health, and business development performance.
- Produce accurate forecasts against revenue and growth targets.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, Financial Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years' experience in business development, strategic account management, relationship management, or sales within the financial services industry.
- Proven success managing high-value corporate or intermediary accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed revenue, market share, and business growth targets.
- Strong commercial, financial, and strategic business acumen.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Advanced stakeholder and executive relationship management experience.
- Strong planning, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using CRM systems and reporting tools.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel extensively within allocated regions.
