Formal Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications are highly desirable.

Knowledge and understanding of

• Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and security technologies.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds), firewalls, endpoint protection software, and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
• Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of encryption technologies, VPNs, identity management, and secure software development practices.
• Proficiency in risk management frameworks and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an IT security or cybersecurity role, with a focus on security operations, incident response, and risk management.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing security programs in a professional environment.
• Practical experience with firewalls, anti-malware tools, and endpoint protection solutions.
