Brand Manager for Snack Brands

What the job is

This job is for a Brand Manager at Snackworks in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Snackworks makes popular snacks like Willards chips, Big Korn Bites, Cheese Curls, and Bakers products. You will help manage these brands and make sure they grow and stay popular.

What you will do

• Meet sales and growth targets for the snack brands.
• Study the market and competitors to find ways to improve the brands.
• Create plans for the brands, including where they fit in the market and how to advertise them.
• Work with teams to develop new products and packaging.
• Manage advertising and promotions to share the brand’s message.
• Keep track of budgets and spending.
• Work with research teams to understand what customers want.
• Travel to different places for work when needed.

What you need

• At least 2 years of experience as a Brand Manager in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company.
• A degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or something similar.
• Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with data tools like IRI or Nielsen is helpful.
• Strong analytical skills to turn data into useful insights.
• Knowledge of how to manage projects and develop new products.
• Experience in advertising from start to finish.
• Ability to work with numbers and budgets.
