Head of Marketing

Introduction

Purpose

A leading financial services company is seeking a Head of Marketing who is responsible to own our brand and run the digital engine that turns consideration into leads.

This is a build role. We currently rely on agency support alone. You will establish the function and lead it hands-on from day one. It is not a role for someone who needs an existing team before they can show value

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Job Outputs

• Accountable for the full digital footprint, both brand and the start of the funnel that generates leads
• Work closely with the team that owns our sales pipeline and revenue target, helping to shape and create the content and targeting across all platforms that bring in the right leads. The revenue objective sits with them, and marketing is the engine that helps to drive the digital inbound side of it
• Own the brand on behalf of the whole business, reporting to the CEO rather than any single revenue line, because the brand defines how the company is understood across the market, not only how leads are generated
• Select and manage our agencies, hold them to standard, and reduce reliance on them over time as in house capability grows
• Understand the commercial side of marketing, not only the craft
• Use data and performance to make the case for spend and to prove return on investment

• Ability to build and scale marketing capabilities in a high-growth environment

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Communications, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification (Honours or MBA) and relevant digital marketing certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 8+ years' experience in B2B marketing, including senior leadership roles
• Proven success in building and leading marketing functions
• Experience in brand strategy, digital marketing, lead generation, and performance marketing
• Strong track record of managing agencies, budgets, and marketing ROI
• Experience working closely with sales and executive leadership
• Financial services, fintech, or SME sector experience is advantageous
