Hire Resolve is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Underwriter specializing in Short-Term Personal Lines Insurance, to join our client's esteemed team in Johannesburg!

Requirements

• Must have a valid RE1 qualification
• Class of Business in Short-term Insurance Personal Lines
• NQF 4/5 in Short-Term insurance
• At least 2 years of experience in underwriting personal lines insurance in the short-term insurance industry
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and industry trends
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze insurance applications for personal lines policies
• Assess risk factors and determine premium rates
• Review and approve policy changes and endorsements
• Communicate with brokers and clients to provide underwriting decisions and recommendations
• Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation
• Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective underwriting processes
