Senior Account Manager (JHB North)

Introduction

Role Purpose

The Account Manager will be responsible primarily for revenue growth within Mining, Oil, Gas and Manufacturing. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with assigned clients by understanding their business and technology needs and delivering appropriate IT solutions.

The role focuses on maintaining customer satisfaction, driving revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling of IT products and services, and ensuring long-term partnerships by acting as the primary liaison between the client and the company’s technical and service delivery teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Core Deliverables (Primary Function)

• Meet and exceed sales targets
• Provide business, technical, and product knowledge in support of pre-sales activities in order to ensure customer satisfaction
• Address product related questions and technical challenges
• Educate clients on how existing and new product features and functionality work, and how it can contribute to their business growth
• Build relationships with decision makers, business contacts, and influencers
• Development and execution of new solution strategies to build new offerings with customers
• Accurate forecasting of the week, month, quarter, and FY, leveraging Zoho and its capabilities
• Developing and expanding relationships with customers and OEM’s
• Effectively working with other internal organizations to drive customer requirements needed to achieve customer and Cisco business outcomes
• Drives a sales process through a 90-day sales cycle with a 120-day pipeline view.
• Inspires customers by confidently articulating the company’s IT’s strategy, technology vision and business relevance
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client.
• Develop account plans outlining growth opportunities and risks
• Track opportunities from identification to closure.
• Use CRM tools to manage and forecast deals.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and account updates.
• Share insights internally to help improve offerings and strategy.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Basic qualifications

3-year Degree/Diploma (NQF 6) preferably in Engineering or Information technology

Experience

5 years’ experience preferably in the same or similar role within the ICT environment working Mining Oil, Gas and/or Manufacturing industries

Required Certifications, Licenses

Cisco or Microsoft or AWS or Google or Lenovo or Dell Certifications
