Manager, Human Resources Business Partner

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manager, Human Resources Business Partner to join our Group People and Culture team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with business objectives while partnering with leaders and the wider Group People and Culture function to drive key talent priorities and initiatives.

The role reports to Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner within the Group People and Culture Department. Key Responsibilities

• Act as the HR Business Partner for designated business units, building trusted relationships with leaders and developing a strong understanding of their operations, project pipelines and workforce priorities.
• Formulate and implement HR plans aligned with business objectives, project requirements and JEC’s overall people strategy.
• Advise leaders on organisational design, workforce capability, performance management, talent retention, employee relations and people-related risks.
• Partner with business leaders to develop manpower plans and oversee the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and selection to offer management and onboarding.
• Monitor recruitment progress, talent availability and market trends, providing relevant insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the Talent Management & Development on talent reviews, succession planning, capability gaps, career development and retention.
• Drive performance-management processes and ensure performance expectations.
• Provide practical advice on employee relations and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment legislation.
• Analyse HR metrics, manpower movements and workforce costs to support management decisions.
• Collaborate with internal Group People and Culture Department and leverage HR technologies to improve HR programmes, policies, processes and service delivery.
• Partner closely with the Jardines Shared Service Centre to streamline HR operational support, monitor service effectiveness and performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Around eight years of progressive HR experience, with solid exposure to HR business partnering and employee relations.
• Experience in Engineering and Construction industry is strongly preferred.
• Regional HR exposure or experience working in a matrix organisation would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong employment legislation and HR best practices, Regional experience is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and present actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, coaching, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in HR systems, recruitment platforms, data-reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
