About the Role

You'll own Gate's social media function end-to-end — setting strategy, leading content execution, and managing a small team of two. This is a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of content, growth, and community. You'll work closely with our content, operations, and partnerships teams to keep Gate visible, relevant, and sharp across every major platform.

What You'll Do

• Own and manage Gate's presence across X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, Telegram, and beyond
• Lead and develop a team of two social media specialists
• Build and maintain the social content calendar; coordinate with internal stakeholders on campaigns, announcements, and partnerships
• Write and edit copy that's on-brand, culturally attuned, and genuinely engaging — in English and Mandarin
• Develop and execute growth strategies and campaigns; track performance metrics and iterate fast
• Stay ahead of trending topics, memes, and narratives across crypto Twitter and broader social — and know how to activate on them in real time
• Analyse platform algorithms and performance data (impressions, engagement, reach) to continuously optimise output

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of social media experience, ideally with time spent at a major crypto exchange
• Native or near-native English proficiency;
• Mandarin fluency to collaborate seamlessly with the wider team
• Deep crypto knowledge — you're not just posting about it, you're in it. Active on X, plugged into the English and Chinese crypto communities, and fluent in the memes, narratives, and hot takes of the moment
• Experience managing or mentoring others is a plus; a personal account with a built following is a bonus
• Strong instincts for what works on social — fast, creative, and data-informed
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative; you own your work and communicate clearly
