Cloud Engineer

Job Description

Work Location: Onsite – JOHOR BAHRU (or) PENANG.

About the Role

As a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing our hybrid infrastructure, which includes cloud services and on-premises systems. You will work on deploying and maintaining cloud environments, managing VMware virtualization, and providing Dell hardware support.

This position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to improving infrastructure efficiency and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud services (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) under established architecture guidelines.
• Manage and optimize VMware virtualization environments, including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Provide Dell server hardware support, including installation, configuration, firmware updates, and diagnostics.
• Assist with cloud migration projects and hybrid infrastructure integration.
• Implement security best practices across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve infrastructure issues.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash).
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems and processes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure improvements and new technology adoption.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure services.
• Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi).
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Experience with Dell server hardware (installation, troubleshooting, lifecycle management).
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs).
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Understanding of security principles and compliance standards.
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, VMware VCP, or Dell hardware certifications are a plus.
