Laboratory Assistant Internship

Join Eurofins as a Laboratory Assistant Intern, where you'll engage in sample preparation, testing, and data management in a leading life sciences company.

Your Role

Key responsibilities as follows

• Read and understand test methods and procedures for equipment operation.
• Familiarize with and follow test worksheet instructions.
• Perform sample pre-treatment, preparation, and testing under supervision.
• Prepare chemical reagent solutions for analysis.
• Participate in Method Performance Validation, including data entry and compilation.
• Edit worksheets and documentation using provided guidelines. Handle sample preservation, storage, retention, and disposal.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workbench area.
• Clean and maintain test utensils and glassware.
• Manage daily operations in microbiology testing under ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Assist with media preparation and inoculations.
• Ensure overall lab cleanliness and perform sterilization of media and biohazard materials.
• Record results, such as colony counting.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining forms and records.
• Register and collect food samples.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

About You

The ideal candidate will have

• A Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Technology, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Strong teamwork and cooperation skills.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude.
• Commitment and dedication to the role.
