Commis Chef

JOB SUMMARY

To assist senior chefs in the daily preparation and production of food items within a professional kitchen environment, maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation, and adhere to food safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and prepare all basic food items for cooking
• Help to prepare daily mise-en-place
• Assist in cooking and food presentation
• Pick up food orders.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy
• Adhere strictly to safety and sanitation regulations.
• The Commis is also required to cook a specified range of meat, poultry, fish, soups and vegetable, including cold food according to the requirements of the menu and recipe.
• Able to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, with adequate time-off arrangements.

BASIC QUALIFICATION

• Minimum 1 year of culinary experience
• Ability to speak English
• Should know and follow the basic hygiene & sanitation regulation

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
