Role Description The Accounts Receivable Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based at The Lilly Company headquarters in Memphis, TN. This role is responsible for processing customer invoices, posting payments, and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records in the company’s financial systems.

Daily tasks include reconciling customer accounts, monitoring aging reports, following up on past-due balances, and resolving billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and customers. The Accounts Receivable Clerk also assists with preparing reports, supporting month-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and established accounting procedures.

The individual in this role contributes to strong cash flow management and positive customer relationships by handling inquiries promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with experience in accounts receivable processes and basic general ledger concepts.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to review aging reports, reconcile accounts, and identify discrepancies accurately.
• Hands-on experience with Invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation using accounting or ERP software.
• Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook, and comfort working with digital financial records.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar accounting support role is preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
