Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for toddlers
• Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Engage with children through positive interactions, encouraging curiosity and independence
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, milestones, and any concerns about their child's well-being
• Follow all safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
• Support classroom management strategies that foster respectful behavior and emotional regulation among young children

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Familiarity with special education needs or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
• Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
• Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with young children in a nurturing environment
