GENERAL MANAGER – GREENFIELD BRANCH LAUNCH

This is a newly created General Manager role, purpose-built to launch and lead American Overhead Door and Docks (AOHDD) greenfield branch in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It is not a maintenance role for an existing business; it is a builder's role that requires market creation, disciplined execution, and the ability to convert opportunity into sustained branch performance.

The successful candidate will plant AOHDD's flag in a strategically important market, establish brand presence, recruit and lead the founding technician team, develop customer relationships, and build a branch that scales into a high-performing operation. Early success will be driven by commercial leadership, local credibility, and the ability to generate momentum quickly.

This opportunity combines entrepreneurial freedom with institutional backing. American Overhead Door & Dock (AOHDD) is an established, well-capitalized commercial overhead door and loading dock platform with a long-standing reputation for quality, responsiveness, and technical expertise ow operating n PA, NJ, DE, MD, and VA. The business is purposefully focused on commercial-driven verticals where uptime, reliability, and responsiveness are mission critical: logistics and distribution, cold storage, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and industrial manufacturing.

Services span the full lifecycle, from ground-up installation and new construction to service-driven preventative maintenance and planned maintenance programs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO — CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Growth & Market Saturation (Primary Focus)

• Own the commercial strategy for the Harrisburg market, including territory planning, target-account identification, and local brand establishment.
• Personally lead outside sales efforts during launch, calling on logistics providers, 3PLs, cold storage operators, food and beverage facilities, pharmaceutical clients, general contractors, property managers, and industrial facilities.
• Build the installed base through new customer acquisition, recurring service agreements, retrofit opportunities, and planned maintenance program growth.
• Partner with sales leadership to leverage national account relationships and accelerate market-entry conversion.
• Use inside sales, digital marketing, SEO campaigns, and outbound calling programs to turn shared infrastructure into qualified pipeline and booked revenue.

Branch Launch & 90-Day Execution

• Assist in securing the branch facility and establishing operating infrastructure, including space, fleet, inventory, administrative alignment, and launch readiness.
• Lead initial technician recruiting alongside corporate leadership and help shape a scalable service model from day one.
• Operate first as a sales-driven market builder and progressively transition into broader operational leadership as the branch scales.
• Deliver a launch plan that prioritizes responsiveness, first-time-fix performance, safety, and customer retention from the outset.

P&L Ownership & Financial Performance

• Own full branch P&L performance, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and EBITDA.
• Monitor performance versus plan and take timely corrective action on pricing, labor productivity, materials, and operating cost variances.
• Provide accurate forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic commentary to senior leadership.

Team Building, Leadership & Customer Retention

• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop the branch technician workforce while establishing a culture of accountability, safety, customer focus, and execution discipline.
• Serve as the visible on-site leader in the Harrisburg market, building durable relationships through customer visits, post-service follow-up, and personal engagement.
• Resolve escalations personally when appropriate and ensure the branch becomes known as the most responsive, reliable, and technically capable provider in the region.

Strategic Collaboration

Partner closely with the CEO, EVP of Operations, and branch leadership peers to align local execution with enterprise strategy.

Collaborate with Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Allentown teams to share best practices, field resources, and talent where appropriate.

• Provide market intelligence and recommend future growth opportunities, including geographic expansion, new service lines, and strategic partnerships.

WHO YOU ARE — QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in overhead door, loading dock, industrial services, specialty trades, or a closely related field service business.
• A proven self-starter with entrepreneurial instincts and the ability to build the roadmap rather than wait for direction.
• Strong commercial orientation with a track record of opening doors, winning business, growing recurring revenue, and building trust in competitive markets.
• Prior experience launching a greenfield branch, opening a new territory, or leading a business through a growth or turnaround phase is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership at the branch, regional, or general manager level, with measurable revenue and EBITDA performance.
• Working knowledge of service operations, including technician workforce management, dispatch, job costing, pricing discipline, and project execution.
• Ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing field teams while maintaining safety and accountability standards.
• Willingness to be highly present in the market through customer meetings, field support, trade participation, and community engagement during the ramp phase.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
