Procurement Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Analyst with preferably at least 2 years of purchasing and/or asset management experience in the marine or related industry. The candidate will evaluate and source vendors based on price, quality, and availability.

The procurement analyst also conducts research, analyzes current market trends, forecast future performance, make procurement recommendations, negotiate prices, draft contracts in addition to creating and maintaining vendor relationships.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2 years of purchasing and/or asset management experience in the marine or related industry preferred SKILLS Experience managing vendor relationships Experience in reviewing and drafting contracts Knowledge of supply chain management best practices Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access preferred Ability to focus on internal customer requirements Knowledge of materials used in the construction/repair of vessels Oracle and/or Finese experience is preferred Good communication skills, including written and oral communication Can work well with others
