UK Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Finance Manager to join a fast growing organisation operating in the energy sector, with a focus on the onshore and offshore renewables.

Overview of the Role

This is a highly visible role where you'll partner with senior stakeholders, providing the financial insight and commercial analysis needed to drive profitability, support strategic decision making, and improve business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Delivering insightful variance analysis and performance reporting
• Leading budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitoring financial performance and recommending corrective actions
• Analysing costs, margins and profitability to identify improvement opportunities
• Developing and monitoring KPIs to support operational performance
• Acting as a trusted business partner to operational and commercial teams
• Supporting contract reviews, pricing decisions and strategic initiatives
• Ensuring robust financial controls, compliance and reporting accuracy
• Driving improvements across financial processes and systems

Background and Experience

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with post-qualification experience
• Experienced in a management accounting or finance business partnering role within a £10m+ organisation
• Highly skilled in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel and confident using financial systems
• A strong communicator, capable of influencing and challenging senior stakeholders
• Commercially minded, proactive and solutions focused
• Experience within the energy sector and exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite would be advantageous.
