Nurse Practitioner

JobPrism is looking for Nurse Practitioners to support daily clinical clinics in Aberdeen.

You will handle minor illness presentations and support same-day access.

Up to 3 days a week available with flexible clinic times.

Role Snapshot

• Primary care NP role focusing on minor illness, triage support, and patient advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage minor illness presentations using evidence-based practice
• Provide telephone and face-to-face consultations as required
• Prescribe or supply medicines within competence and local protocols
• Request and interpret basic investigations and act on results
• Provide clear safety-netting and arrange follow-up where needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and coding
• Escalate complex cases appropriately to the duty clinician
• Support health promotion and preventative care discussions

Working Pattern

• Up to 3 days per week
• Flexible sessions to fit availability and practice demand
• Mix of booked and on-the-day work depending on rota

Requirements

• NMC registration
• Nurse Practitioner experience in a GP practice setting
• Independent Prescriber qualification preferred
• Confident clinical assessment skills and risk awareness
• Good understanding of primary care pathways and escalation
• Enhanced DBS and UK right to work
