Responsibilities

• Assist and respond to internal and external inquiries and forward to the appropriate HR team member for follow up as required
• Maintain and update the HRIS with accurate employee data including new hire, wage/salary changes, termination information, etc
• Support the payroll department by providing relevant employee information as required for new and existing staff
• Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data (i.e. hires, transfers, vacancy rates, etc.) to support achievement of departmental KPIs
• Support the recruitment/hiring process as required by posting ads, arranging interviews, checking references, etc.
• Assist with creating, coordinating and facilitating effective onboarding for new employees
• Support the development, implementation and administration of HR policies, programs and initiatives
• Prepare and compile administrative documents as required

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
• At least 2-4 years working in a similar HR role
• Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Ability to establish and leverage positive relationships with key stakeholders
• Strong computer skills, with experience in MS Office Suite
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
• Strong business ethics and process orientation
• HR system with experience in the implementation process
