Senior Auditor - SOX at Emera

In this permanent position, you will report to the Manager of Internal Audit - SOX. Collaborating closely with business process owners, you will perform testing and assessments of internal controls over financial reporting. Your expertise will ensure compliance and mitigate risks across key affiliates in Canada and the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct walkthroughs and develop test scripts for controls
• Collaborate with external auditors on testing approaches
• Maintain relationships with affiliate employees
• Stay updated on NI5/SOX regulations and standards
• Monitor remediation of previous control issues

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Relevant audit designation (CPA preferred)
• 3+ years of audit or SOX compliance experience
• Knowledge of ICFR, SOX Section 404, and COSO
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
