Nova Scotia Construction Sector Council

The Nova Scotia Construction Sector Council (NSCSC) has an immediate opening for a friendly, task-oriented Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper with great organizational skills and an unparalleled attention to detail. This role will be responsible for processing the day-to-day financial activities as well as preparing financial documentation as required for monthly, annual and project reporting purposes.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Skills/Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal attributes:

Completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (i.e., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting),
-or-
Courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk are required.
Primarily a busy small office environment located in Halifax, NS.
Hours of Work
Full-time – Typically 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Occasional overnight travel and some evening or weekend work may be required
Remuneration
Based on experience and education
$60,000 - $70,000 / year
