Bartender

The Surly Mermaid, a vibrant and busy restaurant in the beautiful Sidney by the sea is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced bar/restaurant environment and possesses excellent cocktail knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages to customers
• Ensure all beverages are consistently prepared and presented to our standards
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area and ensure inventory is stocked
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu offerings, including ingredients and allergens

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of bartending experience in a busy bar/restaurant environment
• Extensive knowledge of cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
