Human Resources Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Summary

The HR Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions and analytics that support Abra's Human Resources operations and strategic decision-making.

This role connects HR and business data from multiple systems through APIs and other integration methods, transforms and validates data, develops interactive dashboards, and delivers actionable insights related to workforce planning, recruiting, retention, compensation, performance, and organizational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in data integration and business intelligence with strong analytical and communication skills to help HR leaders make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate data from Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), payroll, learning management, and other business applications using APIs and automated data pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain HR dashboards and reports using business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Analyze workforce metrics, including headcount, turnover, retention, recruiting, diversity, employee engagement, compensation, and performance.
• Develop and maintain automated reporting processes that improve efficiency and reduce manual data preparation.
• Validate, cleanse, and reconcile data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and business leaders to identify reporting needs and develop analytical solutions.
• Create executive dashboards and KPI reports that provide meaningful insights into workforce trends and organizational performance.
• Monitor API integrations and troubleshoot data synchronization issues between systems.
• Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities through statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Maintain documentation for data sources, integration processes, reporting standards, and dashboard development.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy regulations, and organizational security policies when handling confidential employee information.
• Recommend process improvements and new analytics capabilities to enhance HR decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years: Experience working with HRIS platforms is a plus.
• 1-3 years: Experience integrating data through REST APIs, web services, or ETL processes.
• 1-3 years: Proficiency with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases.
• 1-3 years: Experience with Excel, data modeling, and data transformation techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of workforce analytics and HR metrics.
• Familiarity with data warehouses, cloud platforms, or integration tools.
• Understanding of HR compliance requirements and data privacy regulations.
• Experience developing automated reporting solutions and KPI dashboards.
