Chef and cook needed for full time

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and creative Head Chef and line cook to join our team. Our head chef position will be available soon as our current one is leaving to open his own business. We are hoping to spend some time finding the perfect candidate to lead our little cafe with all culinary needs.

The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high-quality culinary dishes are served to our guests.

Duties

• Supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking activities
• Plan and create innovative menus that meet quality standards
• Manage inventory levels and control food costs effectively
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
• Oversee shift management and maintain kitchen efficiency
• Implement restaurant management best practices to enhance operations

Experience

• Proven experience as a Head Chef
• Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Proficient in menu planning, inventory management, and food handling practices
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff

The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, creativity in menu development, and the ability to lead a team to success.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
