Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning operations across all areas
• Lead team members in performing cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitation of restrooms, and laundry management
• Implement and monitor safety regulations and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement
• Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and customer service expectations
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement needs
• Foster effective communication within the team through management updates, feedback sessions, and motivational leadership
• Ensure compliance with industry standards for industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, and custodial services

Experience

• Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping or custodial management roles
• Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques including industrial and commercial cleaning practices
• Strong background in sanitation procedures, safety regulations, and janitorial operations
• Experience managing laundry services within a hospitality or healthcare setting preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through management skills such as team supervision, leadership, and managerial communication
• Prior experience in managing custodial supplies inventory and equipment maintenance
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for guests or clients
