Senior Business Analyst (m/f/d) – Payments / FINMA / Resilience / BCM / Business Engineering / 100% / ZurichProjectAs part of a project to implement the FINMA resilience requirements (Circular RS 2023/1), an emergency operating solution for payment transactions will be designed and implemented.

The focus is on analyzing, specifying, and coordinating business and technical requirements at the Epic, Feature, and Story levels (SAFe) in close collaboration with business departments, IT, Business Continuity Management (BCM), and external partners.

The objective is to ensure a regulatory-compliant and resilient solution, including integration into a mini core banking architecture, as well as alignment of interfaces and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, design, and document business requirements for the payments domain.
• Develop business concepts and specify both business and IT requirements.
• Support change requests from requirements gathering through successful implementation.
• Analyze and coordinate interfaces, data flows, and integration requirements.
• Work closely with business units, IT teams, external partners, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate and align requirements within a complex project environment.
• Support business quality assurance, testing, and documentation.
• Take ownership of a specific project workstream or functional area.
• Define and refine requirements at the Epic, Feature, and Story levels using the SAFe framework.
• Ensure alignment with Business Continuity Management (BCM) and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Several years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Business Engineer in complex projects.
• Strong expertise in payment systems, ideally with ISO 20022 and modern payment standards.
• Experience in analyzing, modeling, and specifying both business and technical requirements.
• Good understanding of system landscapes, interfaces, and integration processes.
• Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.IREB (

Engineering) or ITIL certifications are an advantage.

Strong analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style.

Excellent communication skills, team-oriented mindset, high level of initiative, and strong quality focus.

Knowledge of CAMT and MX Messages (ISO 20022).

Experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM) and emergency/disaster recovery processes.

Experience with non-functional requirements and interface specifications.
