Associate Product Manager, Product Information Management & Vendor Data Onboarding

What You’ll Do

As an Associate Product Manager, Product Information Management & Vendor Data Onboarding, you will support the Product Manager, Product Information Management in enabling and continuously improving the Product 2.0 capabilities that help Canadian Tire introduce products faster, with stronger data quality and less friction for internal teams and vendors.

This role will support the CTC Syndigo PIM, Syndigo Vendor Central, Rithum, and related integrations and processes that collect, validate, standardize, govern, and distribute product data across the enterprise.

You will translate business needs into clear requirements, support backlog execution, partner with technology and vendor teams, and help iterate on improvements that reduce manual work, improve vendor onboarding, and accelerate product setup from award to online readiness.

Note: Although this role will work closely with our IT and Digital Technology groups, this is a business product role versus an IT role.

• Support the Product Manager, Product Information Management in delivering and continuously improving the Product 2.0 PIM and vendor data onboarding roadmap, including Syndigo PIM, Syndigo Vendor Central, Rithum, and related integrations.
• Translate business, vendor, merchandising, product data, and operational needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process improvements that enable faster product introduction and stronger data quality.
• Support the configuration, enablement, testing, and adoption of PIM and vendor onboarding capabilities, including product setup, vendor enrichment, data validation, taxonomy/category-specific attributes, product family/variant structures, and downstream publishing readiness.
• Partner with business stakeholders, IT/delivery teams, Syndigo, Rithum, and other vendors to clarify requirements, resolve defects, support integrations, and improve end-to-end product data flows.
• Analyze current-state pain points, vendor friction, manual handoffs, and data quality issues; recommend practical improvements that simplify processes, reduce rework, and help products move from award to online readiness faster.
• Support Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, story elaboration, UAT coordination, release readiness, launch support, and post-launch optimization.
• Work with teams across merchandising, vendor support, eCommerce, product content, data governance, and technology to support change management, training materials, communications, and adoption of new PIM and vendor onboarding processes.
• Help monitor product onboarding performance, vendor onboarding progress, data quality outcomes, operational issues, and process KPIs; use insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support integrations and data flows between Syndigo PIM, Syndigo Vendor Central, Rithum, enterprise product services, DAM, workflow tools, eCommerce platforms, and other downstream systems as required.
• Triage and support resolution of business and operational issues related to PIM, vendor onboarding, product data, syndication, and integrations, ensuring timely communication with impacted stakeholders.
• Stay current on retail product data, PIM, syndication, vendor onboarding, and AI/automation capabilities, bringing forward ideas that improve product data quality, vendor experience, and speed-to-market.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, digital operations, product data, vendor onboarding, eCommerce, merchandising technology, or a related business product role.
• University education in business, commerce, technology, data management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with retail product data, product onboarding, vendor data, item setup, product taxonomy, category-specific attributes, or digital product content processes.
• Experience with large PIM, MDM, PCM, syndication, or vendor onboarding platforms is strongly preferred; experience with Syndigo, Stibo, Akeneo, Salsify, Rithum, 1WorldSync, or similar platforms is an asset.
• Strong ability to write clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules that can be understood by both business and technology partners.
• Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments and supporting backlog refinement, sprint execution, testing, release readiness, and post-launch improvements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate data issues, process gaps, vendor friction, and integration defects, then recommend pragmatic solutions.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with cross-functional teams including merchandising, vendor support, eCommerce, data governance, product content, IT, delivery partners, and external vendors.
• Experience supporting technology-enabled process change, training, stakeholder communications, and adoption activities is an asset.
• SAFe, Agile, Product Owner, Product Management, Business Analysis, or data management certification is an asset.
• Ability to balance strategic context with tactical execution, moving work forward while understanding broader Product 2.0 outcomes.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn complex product data, retail, vendor onboarding, and integration processes quickly.
• A genuine interest in retail, digital commerce, product data quality, vendor experience, and how better product information improves customer experiences.

Broadband Salary Range: $64,000 – $106,000.

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $90,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
